Site Work
A professional irrigation design is only as good as its professional installation. Most of the field work is done under severe time constraints and at "bargain" prices. The client expects the irrigation system to operate properly on day one. Likewise, your client expects his investment to operate five years from now the same as it does on day one.Site inspections during and after the irrigation system construction are key elements in ensuring your projects longevity. How can you tell if the equipment purchased, installed and literally buried below ground is what was specified on the irrigation drawings? How do you check, record and enforce unapproved substitutions, bad installation methods, and improper irrigation?
Just as irrigation is vital to growing and maintaining your landscape vision, irrigation can also damage and even kill your plant material within days. Too much water, improper spacing, or lack of water may cost your client thousands of dollars in plant replacement costs. There is value in providing an irrigation site visit and punch list.
